Meet Brittany

Brittany Smith Gallant, BComm, MSc, is the Founder of Smith Collective and serves as a Professional Development Coach.

After spending a meaningful amount of time mentoring students interested in the Consulting industry and Technology sector, Brittany realized there was an opportunity to further support young women by helping them define their career paths earlier on. By leveraging time-tested assessments, facilitating introductions to well-regarded subject matter experts, and highlighting professional development tactics, the idea of Smith Collective was born.

Prior to launching Smith Collective, Brittany served as the Head of Merchant Operations for Uber Eats Canada, leading the team responsible for the strategy and operational management of more than 35,000+ merchant partners across the country. Prior to her time at Uber, she was a Management Consultant at EY, advising on Digital Innovation for the Not-for-Profit Sector and Process Improvement for leading Financial Institutions across North America.

Beyond Brittany’s professional experience, she has also dedicated a significant amount of time to a variety of philanthropic causes - both in Canada and abroad. Most notably, she has acted as a Board Member for the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Engage and Co-Chair of The Breakthrough Challenge. She volunteered in rural Thailand for an NGO focused on poverty reduction and worked towards tackling local health challenges in Honduras as a member of the Global Brigades.

Brittany received a Master’s (MSc) with Distinction in International Business and Emerging Markets from the University of Edinburgh. She earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University and was also educated at The Hague University as part of an international exchange. Prior to these degrees, Brittany graduated from the International Baccalaureate programme at Branksome Hall School in Toronto, Canada.

Brittany is a professionally trained coach, and has completed her certification through the Co-Active Training Institute®.
